About Rookcrest Livestock

Rare Birds. A Real Farm. A Place to Discover Something Different.

Rookcrest Livestock is a poultry farm based in Thomas County, Georgia, with a focus on rare and specialty birds.

Our collection includes Ocellated Turkeys, gamefowl, Dong Tao chickens, other turkey varieties, and specialty poultry offered at different stages of growth when available.

We created Rookcrest Livestock around a simple idea.

Rare birds deserve to be understood, cared for, and presented with honesty.

Learning about the bird is what makes the experience meaningful.

That is the approach behind the farm.

More Than a Poultry Listing

When you search for a rare bird, you are usually looking for more than a product.

You may be searching for a breed you have wanted for years.

You may be building a flock.

You may be looking for breeding stock, chicks, or hatching eggs.

Or you may have discovered a particular bird for the first time and want to learn more about it.

Rookcrest Livestock gives those birds a place to be discovered.

Our goal is to make it easier for you to explore rare poultry and understand what is currently available without turning every bird into another generic sales listing.

Each breed has its own characteristics.

Each life stage has its own place.

And every flock begins with a decision about which birds belong in it.

Our Focus on Rare and Specialty Poultry

Rookcrest Livestock focuses on birds that stand apart from the ordinary poultry you might see every day.

The Ocellated Turkey is one of our key offerings.

We also work with gamefowl, Dong Tao chickens, other turkey varieties, and additional rare poultry.

Some visitors arrive looking specifically for Ocellated Turkey chicks.

Others are searching for Ocellated Turkey hatching eggs or mature birds.

Some come looking for Dong Tao chickens.

Others are simply exploring rare poultry and discovering a breed they had never considered before.

That variety is part of what makes the farm interesting.

There is always another bird to learn about.

Ocellated Turkeys at Rookcrest Livestock

The Ocellated Turkey holds a special place within our collection.

Its distinctive appearance makes it a bird that immediately attracts attention, but there is more to choosing one than appearance alone.

At Rookcrest Livestock, visitors can explore Ocellated Turkeys at different life stages when available.

This may include:

  • Ocellated Turkey chicks
  • Ocellated Turkey hatching eggs
  • Adult Ocellated Turkeys
  • Other available Ocellated Turkey options

If you have been searching for an Ocellated Turkey for sale, our collection gives you a place to start.

We encourage you to learn about the available option, consider what fits your flock, and contact us if you have questions before moving forward.

Dong Tao Chickens and Other Specialty Birds

Not every rare bird attracts attention for the same reason.

Dong Tao chickens are known for their unusual appearance and are among the specialty poultry that make a collection like ours different from a conventional poultry farm.

We offer Dong Tao chickens, including chicks and eggs when available.

Our collection also includes other rare poultry and turkey varieties.

Availability can change, so the best way to know what is currently offered is to explore the available birds section or contact Rookcrest Livestock directly.

A Farm Built Around

Care and Responsibility

Taking care of poultry begins with respecting the birds.

That means understanding that a chick, an egg, a juvenile bird, and an adult bird are not simply different versions of the same product.

They are different stages of the bird's life.

People also have different reasons for choosing them.

Someone starting with hatching eggs may want to raise the next generation themselves.

Someone choosing chicks may want the experience of watching their flock develop.

Another poultry keeper may be searching for mature birds.

Our role is to provide clear information about what is available so you can make a decision that fits your plans.

We believe honest communication matters just as much as the bird itself.

What You Can Expect From Rookcrest Livestock

We want the experience of exploring our farm to be straightforward.

You should be able to understand what we offer, find the birds you are interested in, and know how to reach us when you have questions.

Our approach centers on:

Rare and specialty poultry

Clear descriptions of available birds

Respect for breed characteristics

Different life stages when available

Direct communication

Careful consideration of birds before they are offered

Helping customers understand their available options

We do not need to make promises that cannot be supported.

The birds, the information we provide, and the way we communicate should speak for the farm.

For People Who Value Uncommon Birds

There is something different about raising a bird that you do not see everywhere.

You notice its features.

You learn its characteristics.

You begin to understand why people seek out the breed.

Over time, that bird becomes part of your own flock and your own experience with poultry.

That is the type of connection we want Rookcrest Livestock to encourage.

We are not here simply to fill a page with bird names.

We want visitors to discover the breeds, understand their options, and find birds that make sense for what they are trying to build.
