Incubating Midget White Turkey Hatching Eggs

Turkey eggs generally take around 28 days to hatch under suitable incubation conditions. Prepare and test your incubator before the eggs arrive, and follow the equipment manufacturer’s instructions for temperature, humidity, ventilation, and turning.

For a better-prepared incubation process:

• Handle eggs carefully and avoid unnecessary movement.
• Follow suitable turkey-egg incubation guidance for the equipment you use.
• Monitor temperature and humidity consistently.
• Follow the recommended turning schedule and stop turning at the appropriate stage before hatching.
• Prepare a clean brooder with suitable warmth, bedding, feed, and water before the expected hatch.

Fertility and hatch results are not guaranteed. They can be affected by the breeding flock, egg handling, storage, transport, and incubation management. Avoid assuming that every egg will hatch or that a particular hatch rate is assured.

Caring for Midget White Poults After Hatching

Newly hatched poults need a clean, warm, well-ventilated brooder with dry bedding and protection from drafts. Provide a complete turkey starter feed formulated for poults and constant access to clean water in a suitable drinker.

Monitor the poults for normal movement, appetite, and activity. Keep the brooder clean, replace damp bedding, and make sure all birds can reach food and water without crowding.

As they grow, provide more space and prepare secure housing that protects them from predators and harsh weather. Midget White turkeys have a smaller adult frame than many varieties, but they still require appropriate shelter, balanced nutrition, and daily care.

Are Midget White Hatching Eggs Right for You?

Midget White hatching eggs may suit keepers who have suitable incubation equipment and want to raise their own birds. They can also be useful for those interested in maintaining a breeding flock of this compact heritage variety.

If you are new to incubation, make sure you understand the equipment and poult-care requirements before ordering. If you prefer to skip the incubation stage, Midget White turkey poults may be a more suitable option.

Before purchasing, confirm current availability, egg quantity, packing and delivery arrangements, and any applicable seller policies. Plan for the possibility of hatching both toms and hens, and make sure you have suitable space as the birds mature.
